I have found my nearest club on the website using 'Club Finder' but it does not have any contact details?

If the club has not provided the Clubfinder with contact details, they would usually have full details on their club website.

How do I find a Beginner's Course or arrange to have Taster Sessions?

You need to contact a local archery club that you are interested in joining, and they will arrange these for you.

How can I purchase Rules of Shooting etc?

These and all our shop items are now available from Clickers Archery Ltd. There is also a direct link from our website to the 'Shop' in the top menu.

What are the latest rule changes to the Rules of Shooting?

These changes may be found in the documents members section of our website under 'shooting', and the latest changes are highlighted in blue.

What is the lower age limit for children wishing to participate in Archery?

Archery GB does not set any age limitations, however some clubs may have set their own restrictions so we advise that you speak to the club's secretary direct.

At what age does a Junior become a Senior?

For competitions/tournament purposes, a Junior is classed as a Senior and has to shoot as a Senior, the day he/she becomes 18 years of age.

For Archery GB subscription purposes, a Junior will remain a Junior until the start of the next subscription year (01 October) following their birthday. At that time, Senior 18-24 fees must be paid, and the member can no longer join a club only for Junior members so must join through a different club if this applies.

How can I book a place on a Personal Performance Course?

To book you will need to complete a course aplication form, available online, and return it with the full fees. Full details of the course are on the website here.

What is the procedure for obtaining a Handicap improvement medal?

How do I renew my Leaders/Instructor Certificate?

To remain as a recognised Archery GB instructor, your licence needs to be renewed every three years. Successfully completing this renewal demonstrates your underpinning knowledge to continue to safely instruct beginners.

Archery GB will post you a reminder letter including guidelines on how to renew in advance of your certificate expiry date (please keep your address up to date with Archery GB). You can now renew online, by completing a learning module. This costs £40 and includes an electronic copy of the latest Instructor Award Learner Handbook. Once you've successfully completed the renewal learning module, we will post you an up to date certificate within 30 days.

Are Leaders/Instructors (non members) covered by Archery GB insurance?

No. Leaders/Instructors need to obtain insurance through the organisation they are instructing for - ie. the Scouting Association or Activity Centre.

How do I find a local Coaching/Instructor Course?

Go to our webpage which you can find under Support> Operations to find full details of all courses. Pick the one you are interested in and find links to details of upcoming courses.

What is the procedure for setting up a new club?
